NABP, as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, offers programs and services, education, and other tools to support its member boards of pharmacy in keeping the shared promise of promoting the highest standards of pharmacy practice for the protection of public health.

Through the work of the boards of pharmacy, the NABP members protect the public health by promoting the highest standards of pharmacy practice. This pledge to uphold health and safety regulations is the basis for all board pursuits, and NABP, through its programs and services, aims to support the boards in keeping that promise to the public.

Board Member Manual

The NABP State Boards of Pharmacy Member Manual is intended as a guide to support new board members as they transition into their roles.

Model Pharmacy Act/Rules

The Model State Pharmacy Act and Model Rules of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (Model Act) provides the boards of pharmacy with model language that may be used when developing state laws or board rules.

Task Force Reports

NABP convenes task forces to provide guidance on current topics of interest to the state boards of pharmacy. Often, these issues address topics from resolutions that are approved by the membership at the NABP Annual Meeting.


A comprehensive, searchable database of state pharmacy laws and regulations in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and all Canadian provinces and territories. Boards of Pharmacy receive a discounted rate.


NABP uses electronic mailbag communications to provide the active and associate member boards access to important weekly memos, news releases, reports, and other documents.
